Xiamen Ruifeng Noodles Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (“Ruifeng”) was incorporated in 2005 after a restructuration of the Xiamen Tongan Noodles Manufacturing Factory, a state-owned enterprise (“SOE”). Since the sixties and the seventies, the SOE has played a fundamental role in exporting domestic products worldwide.

 

Chuan Chiong Co., Ltd. (“Chuan Chiong”) was established in 1931 and it currently owns the majority shares of Ruifeng. Not only was Chuan Chiong one of the first ten companies in Hong Kong to establish trade ties with mainland China, it was also the first few to engage in the trade of Chinese products. In 1949, Chuan Chiong introduced China’s traditional pharmaceutical brand – Beijing Tong Ren Tang (“Tong Ren Tang”) – into Hong Kong. Tong Ren Tang’s products have since been distributed worldwide. The strategic partnership with Tong Ren Tang has commenced more than sixty years ago and it is still growing and expanding. Within Chuan Chiong few of its directors and managers had made enormous contributions to facilitate the prospering of Hong Kong since its return to China.
